The Artist

Ronnie Layden is a 6th generation Santa Fean.  Growing up in the shadow of the Sangre de Cristo mountains in the beautiful city of Santa Fe, with its world renowned notoriety, inspired Ronnie from the age of 3 to draw and create.

Ronnie began architectural studies at U. N. M.  Ronnie has received an associate degree in commercial art, second degree in computer aided drafting.  After finishing his education, he went on to design with John McQuee, architect of the Santa Fe opera and was fortunate to design for several celebrities.

Simultaneously honing his artistic eye, he decided it was time to live his true calling as an artist.  Ronnie began his worldwide pursuit for inspiration in such places as Africa, Japan, New Zealand and across Europe.  Photographing and painting, building a profound body of work.

Upon returning to Santa Fe, he has opened and maintained a successful gallery for 10 years.  The gallery and working studio is located on the famous Canyon Road.

His work has been shown for 7 years at the Albuquerque museum, the Town of Homes, artFeast, and in many private collections.
